i've been playing around with ATCs or artist trading cards and made a couple, sent them out in swaps. just getting my feet wet. today i came across a web site specifically for ATC trading. of course i joined and proceeded to look through all the swaps going on. i came across one for mixed media altered photographs. i thought, i can do that and went and did 4 of them tonight. this picture is the first one i tried and i love how it came out. i love really grungy textured art and it's something i can do that doesn't take weeks to finish. at least not so far!

apparently my sister informed my mother that i was bipolar. so mom was all freaking out thinking i hear voices and shit. i had to talk her down and let her know that as long as i take my meds i'm fine. she just looks for reasons to worry about me i think. but i never lost my temper with her which is kudos for me.

overall mood has been much better past couple of days. that high level of anxiety has passed for now but it never stays gone very long.

old cameras and uninspiration

kind of in the dumps today. so my photos were uninspired. the cameras image was taken a couple of months ago. used a little point and shoot i haven't picked up in months. but i did manage to take a picture everyday in march so that was good.

uninspired

today was a horrible day. i received terrible news and as a result will have to completely reevaluate my entire life. how's that for major? also not so inspired today. basically went through the motions of shooting my required pics for the various 365 groups i am in. maybe i'll like these better tomorrow or maybe never. right at this moment making a decision is the last thing i want to do. i apologize for being such a downer.

i'm going to list this ttv later today. initially i was not going to offer it as a print because there are just SO MANY floral ttvs out there. but i've been busy reading in forums and for the most part people recommend you list something every day. so this is it. what do you think? do you like floral ttvs?

still another mask portrait

private art lessons

continued with the theme of african masks today. i like the symbolism of masks because we all wear them every day. and the idea that without our masks we are truly naked. a mask is sort of like armor, how we protect ourselves.

...well i'm getting all philosophical about it. maybe i should just say i think masks are cool.

should have been strong [ 3.365 ]

i am participating in a TtV 365 group on flickr and this is one of my entries. i set up my TtV to shoot self portraits and i love masks. so i just grabbed this one off the wall and shot some pics. i have so many masks i think i may develop this into a photo series. what do you think?

TtV Cards

I created these two 4 x 5.5 cards because these seem to be the poplar items in my shop. of course i've only sold 5 items so far but 4 out of 5 were these prints. i haven't sold any cards yet and i was wondering what the market was like for cards. please leave a comment if you have any suggestions or advice! i appreciate it!

Hand TtV

I started shooting through the viewfinder images about 2 years ago and it quickly became my favorite. I also enjoy using my lensbaby to achieve great bokeh. Being new to the online sellers community I am learning so much and have made some really great contacts through twitter.

Fresh listing today in my Etsy shop. Sizes are 4x4, 5x5 and 8x8, larger sizes available upon request. Hope you like it!

Stop Sign TtV

I so enjoy through the viewfinder photography. I'd have to say it's my favorite technique. The vintage quality is really appealing. And I love that I can get lo-fi images instantly. no waiting to see how the shot turned out. What more could a girl ask for in a technique?

I've listed this image in my Etsy shop. Sizes 4x4, 5x5 and 8x8, larger sizes are available upon request. Hope you like it!
